Estimates and Expenses

The estimate is an indication of the charges likely to be incurred based on the information and details known at the date of the estimate. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the estimate, the charges are liable to alteration, particularly where third parties change their charges or rates.

We may not know the amount of third-party charges in advance of the funeral; however, we will provide the best estimate of such charges in the written estimate. The actual amount of the charges will be detailed and shown in the final invoice. If you amend your instructions, we will require written confirmation of the changes. We may need to make an extra charge in accordance with prices published in our current price list.

We will add VAT to our charges where applicable and at the rate applicable at the time of preparing your invoice.

Payment Arrangements

Our Terms Of Business Include the following:

• We require payment in full, 7 days before the funeral service taking place

• We accept payment by cash , Credit Card/Debit card, Bank transfer or Cheque.

• The full funeral account must be paid, 7 days, before the funeral is carried out. If this hasn’t been made, alternative arrangements may have to be made, for example, moving the funeral to a different date, and or cancellation of the funeral service.

Cooling-off Period

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of the agreement; however, you will incur charges for services that have already been paid for on your behalf and any services or goods charges that you have incurred with Hopcraft Funeral Services Ltd.

We have the right to terminate our agreement with you with reasonable grounds for doing so.

If either party chooses to terminate the agreement, this must be done in writing.

Other

All dates and times on the estimate cannot be guaranteed until confirmed. You will be made aware when such details are confirmed. There may be instances beyond our control that may mean we cannot fulfil our obligations on the date and time specified; however, if this is the case, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Our client is the person who signs the cremation or burial documents. Ashes will only be returned to that person unless written consent is given for alternative instructions.
